A doorbell camera caught the shocking moment a speeding car flies into the air and crashes into a California house. According to KTVU, the dramatic incident unfolded in Jurupa Valley around 6 a.m. local time on Thursday (April 4).
The footage starts with a view of the quiet neighborhood before a black car zips into frame, jumping the curb and going airborne. The soaring vehicle flies over two parked pickup trucks and smashes into the garage. Video from ABC News captured the aftermath of the crash, including the gaping hole left behind in the garage.
The Riverside County Fire Department told Storyful that the driver of the black car got out of the vehicle before firefighters arrived. He was taken to the hospital for "minor to moderate" injuries. Nobody inside inside the house was hurt.
Officials said the crash also left the house with "major damage," and four vehicles were also damaged.
Richard Hernandez, whose camera recorded the wild crash, told Storyful the driver was trying to make a speedy left turn but they lost control of the vehicle.
The fire department didn't provide further details on the crash. No word on the driver's condition as of Monday (April 15).
