Florida Republicans hit the ground running, filing two abortion bills in the House and Senate on Day #1 of the 60 day session. State Democrats respond by holding a virtual statewide rally against the bills that would ban abortion after 15 weeks. There would be no exception for rape and incest but it would allow the procedure to save a mother's life or if the fetus has an abnormality. State Representative Anna Eskamani of Orlando says even though both chambers are majority Republican she's hopeful this will not pass. Current law allows abortions up to 24-weeks. Governor Ron DeSantis, who's up for re-election this year, says the ban makes a lot of sense.
