Dozens Of Dogs Removed From Dania Beach Home After An Arrest

A domestic violence arrest in Dania Beach leads to nearly sixty dogs being removed from the suspect's home. Broward Sheriff's Detectives say the home's owner, 62-year-old Raymond Ledbetter, faces ninety-six counts on top of domestic violence for things like unlawful confinement and abandonment of animals. Broward Animal Care Director Emily Wood says all the dogs are collies and they're hoping to place them into loving homes. She says the dogs were living in filthy, crowded conditions two had to be euthanized and one was found dead. All the others dogs are tagged and vaccinated so they can be adopted as early as next week.
