A man is dead after a police-involved shooting in Miami-Dade County. It happened Wedensday afternoon in the area of Southwest 182nd Ave and 192nd Street.
MDPD Detective Alvaro Zabaleta says officers stopped a car that was reported stolen, and one of two men inside the car showed a gun. Shots were fired, and the man was hit by a bullet returned by one of their officers. The suspected car thief died at the scene. Police say no officers were hurt. No one involved was identified.
One woman was taken in for questioning,but no formal charges have been announced.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement is investigating.
