NYY Anthony Rizzo Hosts Fundraiser For Cancer Research In Parkland

A Major League Baseball player is using part of his offseason to help kids battling cancer. New York Yankees first baseman Anthony Rizzo was in Parkland for the 12th annual Walk-Off for Cancer.

Over a thousand people took part in the fundraiser for The Anthony Rizzo Family Foundation. Over $1 million dollars was raised for families of pediatric cancer patients and the facilities that treat them.

The Marjory Stoneman Douglas alum and cancer survivor says he wants the kids to know there are a lot of people supporting them at all times and trying to lift them up when they're feeling down.
