This Marks National Police Week In Washington, D.C.

Today marks the start of National Police Week in Washington D.C. paying tribute to America's law enforcement community. Miami-Dade Police Detective Angel Rodriguez says the 36th Annual Candlelight Vigil takes place tonight honoring the fallen officers whose names have recently been added to the Memorial. In 1962, President Kennedy proclaimed May 15th as National Peace Officers Memorial Day and the calendar week as National Police Week. The focus is on gratitude, remembrance, servitude and peer support.
