Sarasota, FL - Outdoor retailer L.L.Bean is officially opening its first Florida store next month.
The store will open on May 9th at the University Town Center in Sarasota.
Located at 111 North Cattleman Road in the shopping center’s West District, the nearly 17,000-square-foot space will offer a wide selection of outdoor apparel, gear, footwear, and accessories tailored for warm-weather adventures.
To celebrate the milestone, the company is hosting a two-day grand opening event featuring giveaways, family-friendly activities, and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The festivities begin Friday, May 9 at 8:45 a.m. with L.L.Bean team members, local officials, and Sarasota City YMCA partners in attendance.
As part of its commitment to community engagement, L.L.Bean is donating $10,000 to the Sarasota City YMCA to support summer camp access for underserved youth.
Additionally, the first 100 customers on both May 9 and 10 will receive a $50 L.L.Bean gift card.
Shoppers may begin lining up as early as 6 a.m. on both days.
Guests can enjoy photo opportunities with the brand’s iconic Bootmobile and explore a variety of outdoor-inspired products, from travel essentials and beach gear to home goods and footwear.
District manager Kenon Mitchell says Sarasota’s outdoor culture and year-round sunshine make it an ideal location for L.L.Bean’s Florida debut.
The brand, founded in Maine in 1912, remains family-owned and operates more than 50 stores across 18 states.
The Sarasota store will allow Floridians to engage with L.L.Bean products in person and discover gear designed for their unique lifestyle.
