Dog The Bounty Hunter's Grandson Killed In Accidental Florida Shooting

Naples, FL - A tragic accidental shooting in Naples has claimed the life of 13-year-old Anthony, the grandson of Dog the Bounty Hunter’s wife, Francie Chapman, with authorities investigating the incident.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening around 8 p.m. in Naples at the family's residence.

According to the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, Gregory Zecca, the boy’s father, allegedly accidentally fired the fatal shot while handling a firearm inside their home.

No arrests have been made, and authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the shooting.

A sheriff’s office spokesperson confirmed that detectives are thoroughly reviewing all aspects of the incident, including witness accounts, forensic analysis, and legal procedures such as subpoenas and search warrants.

“This was an isolated incident,” the spokesperson added, emphasizing that there was no immediate danger to the public.

The victim’s identity has not been publicly released, and the family has yet to comment on the tragic event.

A representative for Dog the Bounty Hunter expressed deep sorrow, calling the incident “a tragic loss.”

According to a redacted incident report, deputies arrived at the scene just four minutes after receiving a 911 call.

Despite attempts to administer first aid, the child succumbed to his injuries from the gunshot wound.

The report indicated the wound was located on the victim’s neck, just above the sternum, with no visible exit wound.

The investigation remains open as authorities gather further information regarding the incident.
