Some Commissioners Crying Foul Over Miami-Dade Budget

Miami-Dade passes it's twelve-point-nine-billion-dollar budget but not everyone is happy about it. Commissioner Rene Garcia is one of five voting against it. He expects a ninety-four-million-dollar deficit next year and he says it's not because the county has a revenue problem, he says it has a spending one. He wants more transparency and a line-by-line budget so taxpayers can see what's going on before tax rates are raised. The mayor calls it a responsible budget, safeguarding essential services while investing in the future.
