It's not my place to judge a person's eternal place in heaven. That is God's and God's alone.
I am (you, too, if you call yourself a Christian) supposed to inspect the lives of those who claim they are a Christian and determine if their life, words, deeds, measure up and suggest that they love and serve Jesus. In otherwords we are to be fruit inspectors.
I share all that because before you watch the clip (you did decide to read this first, right?) I want you to consider a few things.
- This took place at an event sponsored by T.D. Jakes Ministries
- I am NOT a fan of the "Gospel According To T.D. Jakes" because some of what he preaches is false and heresy
- Clearly, Steve Harvey has spent some time in church, however that no more makes him a Christian than hanging out in a McDonald's makes one a Big Mac
- Based on his own disclaimer below the video about the difficulty of doing an act without profanity does serve as a bit of a notice about where his heart is presently, but I have hope for Steve like anyone else
- However, all throughout scripture God uses believers, non-believers, animals, and inanimate objects for his purposes ... I'm just saying
Now, roll tape because this is pretty strong.
