Your tax dolloars have kept it afloat despite decades of losses. But I'll set that aside for now (sort of).
This is the very first trip of the new, next generation, Acela, a high speed train with speeds up to 160 mph. I love technology and all, but for the life of me I cannot see making a nearly eight-hour trip from Boston to Washington, D.C.(wityh stops along the way) when you can fly there is less than a quarter of the time and likely drive there faster as well.
Still, I think it's worth taking a look at it. So, here you go.
